May 18 at 9:08pm - "What greater joy?"

"What greater joy? Phil & I have talked about adopting a child since we married over 12 years ago. As many of you know, I miscarried at 12 weeks on September 20, 2010. We have been completely heart broken since our loss. Please know this child will never replace the one we lost, but our love for it will be the same as for all our children!

We feel this is God's plan & timing for us now! We don't know how it will all work out but we trust that if He takes us to it; He will take us through it. We know this journey may have twist & bumps in the road & things will not go exactly as we think, but God will give us strength. This is a huge decision for us & the cost is very high, but we are blindly trusting God. The money is actually what has held us back for so many years. What price can you really put on giving a child a better life & answering the calling of God?

To us we hope to provide this child with a better life here in America, but we also pray that he/she will come to know God being in this country. Most of you probably know China has very different believes & our prayers are that this child will hear His words & be saved & have everlasting life. Please don't get me wrong, we have wonderful missionaries that go to China & spread God's world, but they cannot reach all & Christianity is not the primary religion. Children here have a much, much better chance to hear of the Salvation plan than a child in China. We pray to have a ripple effect & that this child will be saved, his/her spouse & children will come to know God & the process will continue on.

It's a calling I cannot explain because it has been such a strong feeling for us. We understand we cannot change the world but hope that we can change the world of a child forever! Not only will we change the life of a child, but we know this is a life changing event for our family too! Phil, the kids, & I are ready for the adventure & cannot wait to see what God has in store for us!

Please join us as our journey is just beginning. We ask that you pray for us throughout this process. God bless each one of you for your support!

"He predestined us to be adopted as his sons
through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—"
Ephesians 1:5 (NIV)

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when dreams come true, there is life and joy.
Proverbs 13:12
